Prancis dan Jerman Harapkan Inggris Tidak Keluar Dari Uni Eropa


Seputar Forek - Sterling melanjutkan penguatan setelah data klaim pengangguran isyaratkan berlanjutnya momentum pemulihan ekonomi Inggris. Klaim pengangguran Inggris berkurang sebanyak 12.100 di Desember; lebih baik dari prediksi kenaikan 0 dan publikasi sebelumnya yang turun 8.900.
Berkurangnya klaim pengangguran tentunya isyaratkan berlanjutnya perbaikan sektor tenaga kerja Inggris. Ini juga didukung oleh data tingkat pengangguran yang turun ke level 7,7% untuk bulan November; lebih baik dari prediksi dan publikasi sebelumnya 7,8%. Jika perbaikan sektor tenaga kerja dapat berlanjut maka perekonomian Inggris bisa melanjutkan momentum pemulihan ekonomi.

Sementara Perancis percaya Inggris akan memberikan banyak dampak positif jika tetap di Uni Eropa, menurut Menteri Luar Negeri Laurent Fabius. Namun Fabius menegaskan Perancis tidak akan menghalangi jika Inggris memutuskan untuk keluar dari Uni Eropa. Perdana Menteri David Cameron telah utarakan Inggris akan melakukan referendum atas statusnya di Uni Eropa jika partainya memenangkan pemilu 2015.

"Jika Inggris ingin keluar dari Uni Eropa maka kami akan menggelarkan karpet merah bagi Inggris," ujar Fabius ketika diwawancarai oleh Radio Perancis.
Komentar Fabius ini sepertinya ingin membalas pernyataan Cameron tahun lalu yang mengutarakan bahwa dia akan menggelarkan karpet merah bagi perusahaan Perancis yang ingin menghindari tingginya tarif pajak dengan memindahkan markas ke Inggris.
Fabius juga menegaskan bahwa tidak ada "Europe a la carte" dimana suatu negara dapat memilih peraturan apa yang ingin diikutinya. "Bayangkan jika anda berada di sebuah klub sepak bola. Anda tidak bisa mengusulkan untuk bermain rugby."

Menteri Luar Negeri Jerman, Guido Westerwelle, utarakan keinginan agar Inggris tetap berada di Uni Eropa. Perdana Menteri David Cameron utarakan akan melakukan referendum atas status keanggotaan Inggris di Uni Eropa jika memenangkan pemilu 2015. Cameron tegaskan Eropa harus berubah jika ingin Inggris tetap menjadi anggota Uni Eropa.
London telah mengutarakan keinginannya untuk meminta sebagian wewenang yang telah dilimpahkan ke Brussels sebagai konsekuensi atas keanggotaan Uni Eropa. Westerwelle menyatakan bahwa Jerman juga tidak percaya segala keputusan harus diambil di Brussesl seraya utarakan bahwa itu adalah rencana yang terlalu ambisius.
Meski demikian, Westerwelle menegaskan sikap Jerman berbeda dengan Inggris."Kami menginginkan lebih banyak integrasi. Serikat tidak akan berhasil jika suatu pemerintah memilih kebijakan apa yang akan diikuti."
